Located in the Vendée region, with a total of 134 sites (open sites, rental units, and residential sites), on the edge of a forest and marsh, and just 900 meters from a fine-sand beach, the Ushuaïa Villages La Conge campground , a campground in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, welcomes you to the heart of a magnificent 2-hectare natural pine forest.
The Ushuaïa Villages la Conge campground is a family-friendly place where life is good. An eco-friendly campground in the Vendée, managed by Fabien and Séverine, who prioritize a warm and friendly atmosphere between guests and staff, nestled in the heart of a preserved pine forest.
With the mini farm —home to sheep, their lambs, and goats—you’re sure to be charmed and touched! Here, you’ll enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by nature, with the choice to either unwind in peace or take part in various activities. Whether you enjoy creative, relaxing, athletic, or cultural activities, there’s something for everyone! A few words from Fabien:
“The campsite was created in 1965 by my great-uncle Clément. With the boom in vacation camps in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, many people were looking for accommodation to come and watch their children enjoy their vacations by the sea.
In those days, the only facilities available were tents, a few toilets, showers – with tokens – and a few cold-water taps, to satisfy a family clientele. A few years later, caravans arrived! New equipment, sanitary block and swimming pool took their place. Clément loved riding around on his little white bicycle to see if the holidaymakers were settled in. He was 92 when I took over his campsite in 2010. In 2014, my wife Séverine joined me in the adventure, and in 2021 she will be working full-time with me at the campsite.
Today, we continue to preserve the family spirit he established: a quiet, authentic and comfortable campsite, a real place to live in the heart of nature, to share good vacation moments, discover our territory, and create memories as a couple, with family or friends. And we’re still cycling around the camp to make sure everything runs smoothly! Long live the vacations at Camping Ushuaïa Villages La Conge! Nature, relaxation, experiences and discoveries!”
